Championship teams are rarely remembered because of one play.
They’re remembered because of the standard the group committed to every day along the way.
For the University of Tennessee Men’s Rugby program, the 2025 season became a reflection of exactly that.
A season built on brotherhood, leadership, resilience, and belief ultimately ended with Tennessee Rugby standing as National Champions.
When it came time to create the championship rings, the focus was never simply on celebrating the title itself.
The team wanted something that represented the journey behind it.
The brotherhood. The work. The identity of the program.
That vision shaped the entire process with Southern Recognition.
From the first conversations through the final design approvals, the goal was creating a ring that felt personal to Tennessee Rugby and captured what made this championship season unique.
As Captain & President Aidan O’Connor shared:
“Winning a national championship is something our team will carry forever, so we wanted rings that truly reflected what this group built together.”
That mentality became the foundation of the design.
The finished ring incorporated details tied directly to the championship run and the identity of Tennessee Rugby, creating something far more meaningful than a standard championship piece.
Because years from now, these athletes won’t just remember lifting the trophy.
They’ll remember:
• The practices
• The travel
• The physicality of the season
• The teammates beside them
• The standard they upheld together
That’s what meaningful championship recognition should do.
Not just celebrate the result.
Preserve the people, moments, and culture behind it.
Cast in metal. Set in stone.
